Okay I came back for a second time and tried the Philly cheesesteak. Ditch the peppers. Double the onions. Ask for extra cheese. What you get is a mouthful of divinity. This was the perfect cheat day sandwich.

I frequented this place all the time when I lived in the area. Unfortunately, the nearest one is an hour away from me now. My item of choice was the Italian sandwich. I'd often pick up a small for lunch and have enough left over for a snack later in the day. Not bad for a $6.99 sandwich. The bobby is a close second- basically a Thanksgiving-themed sandwich, containing turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. They usually have a couple dessert options as well, such as pre-packaged cookies and/or brownies. I'm pretty sure they don't make them, but they're still good.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. They could use 3 or 4 more parking spaces, but you could say that about a lot of businesses in towns.

This place is a chain and thus is not as heart-stoppingly good as some of the independent delis. The menu seems kind of limited and heavy on the turkey since three of the "chef's special" sandwiches are turkey. The Bobbie is basically a good sandwich concept, however it could use more turkey and probably some more cranberry and mayo as well. It tends to taste like a stuffing sandwich because the ratio of stuffing to everything else is in favor of the stuffing, and is a bit dry since there's no gravy and not enough of the cranberry and mayo. The stuffing cubes also tend to fall out while you eat. If you take the thing home and put some salt and additional cranberry sauce on it, then it's better, for me anyway. On the plus side, the Capriotti's sandwiches are much better than Wawa a block away, especially the bread, the staff are friendly, helpful and nice, and the premade desserts like cookies and brownies are good. And I like the idea of being able to get a Thanksgiving turkey sandwich at times of the year that aren't Thanksgiving, when all the other chains are bombarding you with turkey stuff. Hours are kind of weird since they go till 7 pm half the week and 8 pm the rest of the week. Since I usually go there for dinner rather than for lunch, I wish they would just split the difference and stay open till 7:30 every night so I wouldn't have to be keeping track of what day it was.

Wifey picked up two 12" Bobbies for lunch yesterday that I had ordered online. The Bobbies were outstanding, Fresh turkey, Cranberry sauce, Stuffing, touch of mayo on a fresh italian "hoagie" roll. Always very good. Used to work minutes from the original shop in Wilmington in the late 80's early 90's. it was a real treat for the staff. At $9:15 each, a little more turkey may be appropriate. Ordering online was great!! Staff was very nice... I saw someone said "even WAWA copied it" (the Bobbie) - WAWA TRIED TO COPY IT, No comparison whatsoever!!!! The WC location is very convenient for us since wifey works at the Government Center, however, leaving the parking lot can be hairy.

Can someone please open a Capriotti's franchise in Philadelphia. Pretty please. One time my friends and I were hanging out in their South Philadelphia home after a heavy night of drinking, most of us with wicked hangovers and hunger pangs. Someone dared to mention the word Capriotti's along with the words veggie turkey hoagies and that was it, nothing else was going to do. We all piled into the car and drove to West Chester to obtain our craving. After we got them we realized we wanted to eat them immediately (take out only ladies and gents) so our friend Caroline called some of her West Chester friends to see if we could come to their house and eat our hoagies. None of us besides Caroline knew these people but without shame we entered their house and scarfed our hoagies with little conversation and then left a few minutes later. Awkward, but totally worth it. I make it a point to go to Capriotti's whenever I'm even remotely close. The reason for my passion is the veggie turkey (available on a variety of hoagie choices) but they have regular meat hoagies too if you're into that sort of thing. The large hoagies are as big as your arm so you can totally share one with someone you love. They also sell chips (including my favorite Cape Cod brand) and drinks. They're located in a tiny strip mall next to a health food store so you can do some health food shopping while you wait for your sandwich. Man, now I want one. Good thing it's 11:35 at night or I might just have to make that drive to West Chester.

Capriotti's is a chain of sandwich shops. those who frequent Capriotti's know the turkey Bobby which become so popular that even Wawa copied it. It is a turkey dinner on a long roll complete with stuffing and cranberry an awesome sandwich. I've eaten at manny Capriotti's locations and the quality and consistency is always the same I recommend the sandwich shop.

Capriotti ends with a vowel, so you need to be careful about what you say, but this place makes some gangster-good food. Blessed by the time-fairy to have enough time to actually eat lunch we rushed out of Main Hall at WCU on break, whipped out the iPhone, and instantly went to work on finding a place to eat nearby campus since it being a Sunday, Burrito Loco decided to not be open. As soon as we had scrolled sufficiently it was a unanimous decision to do a sandwich from Capriotti in terms of distance from campus and the name ending in a vowel - that is a gangster you want making your food, like Satriale's in the HBO series The Sopranos - and completely unlike a person named Jimmy John or a franchise called Subway. The big guy (4u) workers are super-friendly and do not get pissed if you are a little indecisive (one out of the large group) or if you ask for weird "do this, but not this" orders (like me.) The food gets prepared quickly, the ingredients are fresh, and the cost is very cheap considering the quality you receive. I ordered the "medium" and that was a monster, really-really-really big sandwich. I went with the eggplant parmesan, my favorite dish on Italian night but I had never incorporated it into a sandwich before. It was incredible. It has changed my life such that I can now finally see the Thestrals - after finding out what a real sandwich is I could let the notion of Subway/Quiznos/Jimmy John's behind. Capriotti is one of the best lunch choices in the area - I am a fan. And I will be back for more eggplant parmesan sandwich awesomeness!

About 2 years ago I turned vegetarian, and a lot of sandwich options weren't available to me at other places. But this place has some of the best "fake meat" I've ever had!! Awesome place!

I was visiting some family in PA and was introduced to "The Bobby" sandwich by a local. OMG is all I have to say. I swear, this is the best damn sandwich I have ever had. The mix of the turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce is out of this world..and the bread they use just tops it off. I have found myself dreaming about this sandwich. My mom recently made a trip back to PA and my only request was for her to bring me back one of these sandwiches. They were so kind to pack each ingredient up separately for her to take on the plane. Yes, once it reached me it was slightly dry..but still really damn good. Is it really sad that I want to visit PA just so I can have one of their sandwiches??

I've been eating sandwiches at this Capriotti's since 1998 on a bi-weekly basis and I sincerely believe they have the best sandwiches in the West Chester (if not Chester County) area. Their ingredients are quality, the bread is the local favorite Amoroso's and they don't scrimp on the fillings. But above and beyond these sandwich basics, Cap's brings something special to the table - great signature sandwiches. Their flagship sandwich is the "Bobbie" - Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry and Mayo. Yes, it's basically Thanksgiving on a long roll and it is phenomenal. Another of my favorites is the "Cole-Turkey" - Turkey, Cole Slaw, Provolone, Mayo and Russian Dressing. There's also the Capastrami, the Slaw-Be-Jo, and the Cran-Slam Club. I've tried all of them and liked every one - I even bought an assortment for a staff lunch and everyone loved them! They carry a line of tasty Vegetarian Turkey that can be used for any kind of Turkey sub you can dream up (I like the Veggie Cole Turkey, m'self), and they also have veggie Burgers, Dogs, and Eggplant Parms. They used to have a kick-ass vegetarian Cheese-Steak that rocked my world (and that of my wife and several friends), but they discontinued it and even though it's listed on their web menu, they claim it won't be back. Message to Cap's in West Chester: BRING BACK THE VEGGIE CHEESE STEAK! My only real gripe is that they tend to run out of rolls (on Thursday nights, if I'm not mistaken). This really chafes me because, um, they're a sandwich shop and I WANT MY CAPS. I understand the need to optimize your stock but come on - a sandwich shop running out of rolls? That's crazy! Oh, and one more thing - "Large" on their menu is really large - 20" of sandwich - enough to easily feed 2 and then some.

I gave up meat 4 months ago and Vegetarian friend told me about the fake turkey sub sandwiches at Capriottis. OMG- they are incredible - the largest size is like 3 feet long and will feed 4 people- for $12. I now pray every night they will open up a new location on the Mainline. The fake turkey they used- by Worthington is not available in retail stores and Capriotti's bread is fantastic- sandwich tastes better the second day. Love it!

The Bobbie is an awesome sandwich, as many reviewers testify, but so is just an ordinary Italian hoagie! Let them make it the way they want, and you will be amazed that you can actually taste each ingredient - yum! The only sandwich I'd steer clear of is the "roast beef" hoagie - dry as can be, even with added mayo - the beef is finely shredded well-done pot roast style. Small area to place orders and no seating, sadly, so you have to wait until you get home to eat!

Along with several friends, I lived a lie for almost a year, thinking that the vegetarian turkey sandwich was a vegan sandwich (which an e-mail from someone at the corporate office assured us was true). Needless to say, we were all very bummed out when we found that the mock meat wasn't vegan at all. Just another place in West Chester with no good vegan options. I'll gladly change this review if this is ever remedied.

I had the Philly Cheese Steak and it was very very good! My friend said that it could possibly be better than Pat's in Philadelphia. The only reason I'm knocking it a star is because of the price. Wow they are pricey sandwiches. I'm a poor college student and this is a bit over my price range. About $10 for a medium hoagie? Anyways, the meat on the sandwich was very good. There is also no tables inside the building. There is some seating to wait for your sub though.

This place is great. It's a little off the beaten path from the borough so it's easy to park and grab a sandwich. The "Bobbie" is Thanksgiving on a roll...and it is glorious. They make a mean suburb cheesesteak too. Check it out.

I tried the Bobby sandwich after reading a couple good reviews about it. I didn't expect turkey, stuffing, cranberry, and mayo to taste good together but it turned out to be delicious. The service was really fast and the prices were affordable. They don't have seating inside though, but the sandwich was very good.

Got the grilled Italian and it was delicious! Gone back several times. I also took a friend who is a vegan and they had several options that he loved.

I've been dieing to try Capriotti's but their hours are horrendous! Only open till 7:00 pm on Mon - Wed, and only open till 6:00 on Sunday. Ever heard of a sub for dinner?

This place is great. It's a little off the beaten path from the borough so it's easy to park and grab a sandwich. The "Bobbie" is Thanksgiving on a roll...and it is glorious. They make a mean suburb cheesesteak too. Check it out.

Try the bobby! Better than the gobbler, and always tastes fresh. Their cheesesteaks are underrated too, they have a lot of meat. Friendly and fast service.
